Homemade face scrub
Using a scrub helps your skin get rid of dead cells and gives it a new freshness.
FACE SCRUBS FOR NORMAL SKIN
Orange-oatmeal scrub
You will need two tablespoons of orange peel powder, two teaspoons of oatmeal, two tablespoons of cold cream. Mix all the ingredients together and make a paste. Apply this to your face and scrub after it dries. Wash off with lukewarm water first and then wash off with cold water.
Barley-lemon scrub
Mix one teaspoon of barley powder, two teaspoons of lemon juice, and one teaspoon of milk and make a smooth paste. Apply this mixture to your face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Scrub it and wash it off with lukewarm water.
Oatmeal-almond scrub
Mix one tablespoon of oatmeal with one teaspoon of almond oil and apply to your face. Leave this mixture on for 15 minutes. Scrub and wash off with lukewarm water.
FACE SCRUBS FOR DRY SKIN
Oatmeal scrub
Mix three to four tablespoons of buttermilk with two tablespoons of oatmeal properly to make a paste. Wait for it to dry and then scrub it off with lukewarm water.
Nourishing almond scrub
Mix two tablespoons of nourishing cream with one tablespoon of almond oil and whisk properly. Apply this mixture to your face and let it dry. Scrub off with lukewarm water first and then with cold water.
FACE SCRUBS FOR OILY SKIN
Lemon-carrot face scrub
Mix one tablespoon of yeast powder, one and a half teaspoons of curd, one teaspoon of lemon juice, one teaspoon of carrot juice, and one teaspoon of almond or olive oil properly. Apply this to your face and wash off with lukewarm water after 15 minutes.
Note: do not use this scrub if you have pimples.
Turnip-carrot scrub
For this scrub you will need 50 gm of carrot, 50 gm of turnip, and 25 ml milk. Boil the turnip and the carrot and mash them. Then add the milk and apply this mixture to your face. When it dries, scrub and wash off your face with lukewarm water.
Peas-lemon face scrub
You will require four to six tablespoons of pea powder, 1/4th teaspoon of lemon juice, and two tablespoons of rosewater. Soak the pea powder in the rosewater and lemon juice for half an hour. Whisk this mixture properly and apply it onto your face. Let it dry for 15 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water.
FACE SCRUB FOR PATCHY SKIN
Oatmeal-milk powder scrub
Mix one tablespoon of milk powder with one tablespoon of oatmeal and two tablespoons of lemon juice and apply to your face. Once it dries, scrub it off your face. Then sprinkle your face with cold water.
Banana-egg scrub
You will require two egg yolks, one cup of either almond or olive oil, one banana, two to three drops of lemon juice. Mix the egg yolks with the oil and whisk well. Add the mashed banana and lemon juice and apply to your face and neck. Wash off after half an hour with lukewarm water first and then with cold water. This scrub helps get rid of spots and patches on your face.
Almond-milk face scrub
Mix 250 gm of ground almonds with 100 ml of milk and make a paste. Apply this to your face and neck and leave on for 30 minutes. Wash your face with lukewarm water and massage it with some almond oil. This helps get rid of spots and enhances your skin tone.
Strawberry-milk scrub
You will require 100 gms of strawberry, two teaspoons of milk powder and one teaspoon of lemon juice. Mix the strawberries with the milk powder and half of the lemon juice and mash. Apply this mixture to your face and neck and leave on for 15 minutes. Scrub and wash off with lukewarm water first and then with cold water.
FACE SCRUBS FOR ALL SKIN TYPES
Sweet scrub
Mix one tablespoon of cold cream with two teaspoons of almond oil and apply to your face. Massage it until all of the sugar dissolves. Wash off with lukewarm water first and then with cold water.
Egg scrub
For this you will require one egg yolk, two teaspoons of almond oil, two tablespoons of dry skimmed milk, and five drops of camphor lotion. Whisk the egg and mix it with the oil. Whisk this mixture again. Then add the milk and camphor and apply onto your face. After it dries, wash off with lukewarm water first and then with cold water
